Jasmeen Dahak is a software developer in the UK. She writes the tax engine behind ContractorSums, the tests that check it, and the pages that explain it.

Before this she built a bookings and payments platform that a Pilates studio runs its business on, an AI enquiry service that routes website messages to the right person, and data pipelines for an engineering organisation. This site is built the same way: the rules sit in a data file rather than a comment, and the working is tested and shown.

She is not an accountant. Where the site makes a legal or tax claim it cites the gov.uk page it came from, and the methodology says what has and hasn't been checked by a professional.
